This painting grew out of a simple structure - a box within a box - but slowly became something more open.
I was interested in how a defined form can hold space, and at the same time dissolve into it. The lines suggest structure, but the surface moves, shifts, and softens it.
The blue developed in layers, building depth and a quiet sense of distance. It’s not meant to be fixed or fully understood, but to be experienced over time.
A work about balance, containment, and what happens in between.

Once delivered, the canvas can be stretched or framed locally by a professional framer.
